Rec Hoops: Gallardo, Nicholson lead District 5 to league title

Manny Gallardo hit a pair of 3-pointers with less than 4 minutes to play Wednesday to lift District 5 to the Men’s DD Winter Basketball League championship with a 67-59 victory over Hard Ninety at Solorsano Gymnasium.

‘The Vagina Monologues’

Gavilan College presents a benefit performance of “The Vagina Monologues at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Gavilan College Theatre, 5505 Santa Teresa Blvd. in Gilroy. For audiences 18 and over, it is an episodic play comprised of monologues addressing women's sexuality and abuse. Proceeds will benefit Community Solutions and Emmaus House.
