Chris Costello Electric slipped by VFW Bingo 9-8 Thursday to
remain in first place in the Men’s Winter DD League standings at
Christmas Hill Park.
Andy Amador doubled and scored on a Mark Madalena single in the
top of the seventh inning to lift Chris Costello to a 4-1

Rick Lewis anchored the Electric offense with a 3-for-3 performance. Nick Alderete and Jeff Castro each bagged three hits for VFW Bingo. Chris Stainton provided two doubles and plated two VFW Bingo runs.
Whiplash joined the Electricians atop the league with an 18-8 nod over the SVCC Thumpers.
Trailing 5-1 after one inning, Whiplash rebounded with a six-run second inning rally. Martin Cortez began the scoring with a two-run home run. Alex Yerena added a two-run single.
Cuco Yerena went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly to lead the Whiplash attack. Mario Flores lined three hits and Steve Conroy singled and doubled for the Thumpers.
Claddagh Brew Crew moved to 3-2 by defeating Victory Outreach 19-13. Parker Hathaway muscled two home runs and Willie Weihman went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly for the Claddagh. Jaime Martinez and Shane Caspary each homered for Victory Outreach.
Women’s
Team Ninja topped Don’s Vending 10-7 Wednesday at Las Animas Park to leave both teams at 5-1 atop the Women’s Winter League standings.
Antoinette Bowe produced a single and two doubles, plating two Team Ninja runs. Jen McBain and Elena Ayala each recorded a two-run single for the Ninja. Liz Talavera roped two doubles and a single, Andrea Castaneda a triple and single for Don’s Vending.
Team Ninja powered past the M&M’s 18-3 Monday to complete a 2-0 showing for the week.
Michelle Barry cracked two home runs, a double and single while driving in five Ninja runs. Bowe garnered a grand slam and three singles, Nikki Thompson four hits and five runs scored for the winners. Maureen Duggan went 3-for-3 and drove in one M&M’s run.
Men’s CCC
Rhino Wiring defeated George Chiala Farms 25-8 Wednesday in Men’s Winter CCC League play at Christmas Hill.
Steve Aguirre led the Rhino Wiring assault, striking for three triples and two singles. Aguirre scored five runs, Ed Cordia (4-for-5) four. Chase Locsin singled and doubled, scoring twice for the Farmers.
Louie & the Outlaws moved into second place at 4-2 with a 19-15 verdict over Neighborhood Pizza.
Marco Lopez went 4-for-4 and Rich Perez launched a three-run home run and two singles for the Outlaws. Brian Rudolfs went 6-for-6, David Sotelo 5-for-6 and Robert Sanchez 4-for-6 for Neighborhood Pizza.
Platinum Roofing Slammers (4-1) remained in first place by earning a forfeit win over Pacific Coast Bail Bonds.
Cary O’Neal Roofing-California Silk Screening won two games Thursday at Las Animas to take over first place in the Co-Rec Winter B League with a 5-1 record.
The Roofers-Screeners eased past Dequin’s Auto Body 18-0 behind four hits from Anthony Corral and home runs from Mark Terrill and Jim Sands. Angelica Garcia and Vanessa Pena each went 3-for-3 for the winners.
Pena and Sands each hit safely and scored in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift O’Neal-Cal Silk by Jennie’s Crew-Dutchman’s Pizza 16-15. Sands homered in a 4-for-4 effort and Pena went 3-for-3 and scored three runs. Wolfie Sandoval went 3-for-3 and scored four Jennie’s runs.
All Out moved to 3-2 with a 12-11 victory over Lights Out. Chris Adame laced a triple and single for the winners, Liz Talavera four hits for Lights Out.
