DeCarlo’s three-run home run caps 11-run sixth inning in 18-12
comeback victory in Men’s CCC
GILROY – Countryside Daycare outlasted the Desperados 18-12 Monday to remain one game off the pace in the Men’s CCC League at Christmas Hill Park.

Dirty Dozen improved to 5-0 atop the six-team loop with an 11-6 decision over Morgan Hill Bible Church. The Countryside win left Daycare alone in second at 4-1, while the Desperados are 3-2 entering the final week of the first half.

Jim Steward’s RBI-single in the top of the sixth inning gave the Desperados an 11-7 cushion. Countryside responded with an 11-run sixth, including a single and three-run home run by John DeCarlo Jr. Dave DeCarlo stroked a single and double in the rally, Tim DeCarlo and Albert Alosi each a two-run single.

Steve Sorci and Bob Reggiani clubbed three-run homers in a seven-run second inning for Countryside. Justin Barroza and Robert Ramirez each collected three Desperados hits.

Mike Gracia hit a two-run home run and Ricky Salinas added a double, single and sacrifice fly as Dirty Dozen outlasted Morgan Hill Bible Church.

Jason Lang netted a triple and single, Stuart Kirchick and David Jackson a double and single apiece for Morgan Hill Bible Church.

Abie Espinosa hit three home runs in a 6-for-6 effort as Extreme Air Poor Boys downed Victory Outreach 35-5. David Agliotis and Brandon Orlando added Extreme homers. John Hernandez singled and tripled for Victory Outreach.

Paul Garcia went 3-for-4 and scored three runs to lead the Playaz (4-1) by No Soup 4 You Monday at Las Animas Park in Men’s CC play.

The win kept the Playaz in a tie for first place with the Las Animas Sweepers. Brian Cortez hit two triples and two singles to anchor the Sweeper offense.

Malibu Heating and Air Conditioning called on Robert Martinez for a 3-for-3 performance leading to a 7-4 upset of South County Rockery and Building Materials.

Martinez lashed a three-run double with two out in the sixth inning to snap a 4-4 tie.

Dave Meacham went 2-for-2 for South County Rockery. The loss left the Rockery at 2-2-1 in fourth place.
