A Morgan Hill couple is one of five pairs of finalists in a
radio station’s $30,000 wedding giveway. The winners, who will
receive an all-expense-paid wedding, will be determined through an
Internet vote.
A Morgan Hill couple is one of five pairs of finalists in a radio station’s $30,000 wedding giveway. The winners, who will receive an all-expense-paid wedding, will be determined through an Internet vote.
The couple with the most votes wins a ceremony and reception at Thomas Fogarty Winery, a honeymoon package from Just Honeymoons, catering, rings, flowers and more.
“Minh and I met in Morgan Hill about 12 years ago in 11th grade on my first day of attending Live Oak High School,” said Mary Dragna, who works in Morgan Hill. “We became high school sweethearts in 12th grade and graduated together in the Class of 1994.”
To enter, the couple had to write a 150-word paragraph on why they should win.
“Once our story aired on the radio and the Internet, we received an overwhelming amount of support throughout the Bay Area, across the U.S. and many parts of the world,” Mary said.
Her fiancé Minh Ly, a network engineer who works in Pleasanton, has attended Morgan Hill schools since eighth grade.
Pictures and stories by the finalists will be posted after 6:30pm Friday when polling opens. Voting ends Monday, Feb. 21, at 12pm. The winner will be announced Tuesday between 3pm and 7pm on FM 106.5 KEZR.

The candlelight in the room whispered a new future. Minh presented a gift as I waited with anxiety. As Minh got on one knee and proposed, I was in a dream state of disbelief.
