The Santa Clara County Superior Court is accepting applications
for the 2011-12 term of the Civil Grand Jury.
The Santa Clara County Superior Court is accepting applications for the 2011-12 term of the Civil Grand Jury, according to a press release.
Applications are due by March 4. Applicants must be residents of Santa Clara County, United Stats citizens and at least 18 years old.
The Grand Jury serves as the county’s investigative body and examines the operations of county and city government, special districts and school districts.
The Grand Jury has the authority to inspect adult and juvenile detention facilities.
The time commitment is 20-25 hours per week. The Court seeks volunteers willing to make a one-year commitment, running from June 23, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
