GILROY – Buttery garlic bread, fresh crab and crisp green salad paired with a fine red wine – all for a good cause.

Just when you think it can’t get any better, the band starts playing your favorite song.

Enjoy it all at the Gilroy High School Athletic Association 24th annual “Crab Cioppino Feed and Dance” on Saturday, May 8, at Christopher Ranch, 305 Bloomfield Ave.

The proceeds go to support the annual cost of transportation for Gilroy High School athletes, which averages about $30,000 each year, according to Jack Daley, Athletic Director for GHS. The event raised about half, or $15,000, last year alone. Through the years, the feed has raised almost $500,000. Carl Swank, the owner of Gilroy Tire and Brakes, and his crew of about 30 volunteers will prepare the evening’s dinner.

This is a great opportunity for business owners to reward employees, or themselves, with a fun night out. Corporate sponsorships are available from $125 to $1,500, which includes advertising and ticket packages.

The event is for adults 21 and older. Cost is $40 per person. Tickets are available at the Gilroy High School in the Student Activities office, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or online at www.gilroyhighschool.com with a VISA or MasterCard. Purchases online are subject to a $1 surcharge.

For more information on Corporate Sponsorships call Athletic Director Jack Daley at 848-7178 or e-mail jd****@*********ca.us.
