French Farce

Bring dinner and a bottle of your favorite wine and be treated to a delightful evening with the French farce “Boeing Boeing” at Limelight Actors Theater through July 18.
This is a story that takes place in the 1960’s about a swinging bachelor with a great condo within a short cab ride from Orly Airport. Well heeled architect Bernard has what he thinks is a wonderful set up with three flight attendants from three different airlines with three different schedules set to arrive at three different dates and times throughout the year. They all think they are engaged to him, and when bad weather and new faster jets create disorganized confusion to their schedules the fates allow things to go awry and all three arrive at his condo at the same time. Things get hysterically funny.
Originally written by French playwright Marc Camoletti with the English translation by Beverly Cross and Francis Evens, “Boeing Boeing” was first staged in London in 1952 and was listed in “The Guinness Book Of World Records” as the most performed French play in the world.
Director, producer and set designer Kevin Heath brings the kooky cast of characters together with Limelight’s 24th show. Aaron Weisberg, Heather Bass, Christine McElroy, Jery Ross, Cindy Powell and Rachel Perry create continuous havoc and hysteria for more than two hours with one intermission.
