Daniel ”Danny” E. Lujan Sr. died April 12, 2004, in Morgan Hill.
Mr. Lujan was a masonry assistant in the Bay Area for more than 30 years. He was raised in Gilroy and attended Gilroy schools.
He is survived by his fiancée, Rosemary Carranza; his children, Daniel Jr. and wife Beatrice Lujan of Morgan Hill; Arlene and her husband Anthony Guerra of Gilroy; Annette and Virginia Lujan, both of Morgan Hill; and Elizabeth and Danella Lujan and Felix Rojas of Gilroy. He is the stepfather of Joey, Arturo, Linda, Jina and Brian Carranza, all of Gilroy; and the loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren.
He is the son of Thomas Sr. and wife Arlene Lujan of Gilroy. He is also survived by nine brothers and sisters and their families; Alfred and Carmen Lujan, Robert and Mary Angulo; Dave and Gloria Rodriguez; Andrea and Rudy Perales; Linda and Rocky Bautista; David and Abby Lujan; Debbie Duyao; Annette and Raymond Luna; and Vivian Corona; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his longtime friend Miguel Torres.
He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Jr. and granddaughter Sapphire Santiago.
A vigil service was held Sunday, April 18, 2004, at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Funeral services were held Monday, April 19, 2004, at the funeral home. Burial followed at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
