What I took away from the round is that too many of us get pigeonholed into choosing a club and style of shot because of what’s normally done – not what could be done to play to the strengths of your game.

If you can’t chip, putt from off the green.

If you cant hit your irons, use fairway woods and choke down. The possibilities are endless.

The bottom line is, if you play to the strengths of your game you will end up shooting lower scores than mixing in the weaker parts.

Besides, it makes the game a whole lot of fun.
