GILROY – Dequin’s Auto Body improved to 4-0 in the second half of the Men’s D League Friday with a 14-10 decision over Family Affair at Gavilan Sports Park.

Doubles from Josh Newton, Duke Newton and John Serrine sparked Dequin’s to a five-run outburst in the sixth inning. Duke Newton added a two-run home run, while Randy Evanger singled, doubled and tripled for the winners. Manuel Gonzales went 5-for-5 with two home runs, Nick Ramos 4-for-5 with one homer for Family Affair.

In The Zone dropped Trevino Brothers Construction to 2-2 with a 15-10 upset.

Isaac Gonzales sparked the Zone offense with a home run and three singles. Junior Campos, Rudy Molina and Vince Lopez slapped Zone homers. Trevino Brothers struck for nine runs in the top of the first, then settled for a single marker in the sixth inning.

Fritter-Schulz Physical Therapy-Humboldt Brewing remained one game off the Dequin’s pace with a forfeit win over Ellite Barbers and Hair Stylists.

Mitsubishi Motors joined Chicks N’ Sticks at 3-0 atop the Co-Rec League standings with an 18-5 nod over Rush Order Inc. Wednesday at Las Animas Park.

Norma Wendt went 4-for-4 and Joel Garcia scored five runs for the Motors. Jeremy Castro powered a two-run triple for Rush Order.

Vicki Velasquez scored three runs and K. C. Adams went 4-for-4 in a 7-3 Dicar Insurance triumph over Team Hair FX. Gilbert Ramirez went 3-for-3 and Vanessa Pena stroked two doubles for Team Hair FX.

Danny Benz singled and scored on a Vicki Groppe in the bottom of the ninth inning to earn Dutchman’s Pizza-Big Kahunas a 6-5 win over Covenant Builders. Bridget Adams and Shaleen Moreno each tagged three hits for Covenant.

Courtesy Chevrolet topped the Bay Area Communications Loco Boys 12-2 in a battle of second-half Men’s EE League unbeatens Thursday at Gavilan.

Jeff Wong drove in four Courtesy runs with a home run and triple. Mel Flores went 3-for-4 with a homer for 5-0 Courtesy. Roger Castaneda collected two Loco Boys (4-1) hits.

Omar Rodriguez went 4-for-4 to lead VFW Bingo past Radiator Doctor 17-14. Steve Montez rapped four hits and Paul Sanchez homered for Radiator Doctor.

Obata Farms moved into a tie at 4-1 with the Playaz atop the Men’s C League standings Friday with a 21-6 win over the VFW Vets at Las Animas. Robert Silvia muscled two home runs, Mario Bena one for the Farmers. Toby Reyes garnered a triple and two singles for VFW Vets.

Jimmy Tomasetti scored three runs to highlight a 13-6 Westwood Barbers (3-2) win over Punishment Inc. Erik Perez went 3-for-3 for Punishment.

D.A. Wolfe Construction is 3-2 in third place after an 11-10 squeaker over Dee’z Nutz. Danny Rodriguez collected four hits, Benny Sanchez and Dave Perez three apiece for the winners. Jess Lopez Jr. added a two-run home run. Rich Chavez went 3-for-4 and scored two Dee’z runs.

The Titans clinched a tie for the second-half Men’s E crown after a 20-5 victory over St. Mary Men’s Club Thursday at Las Animas. Ted Pickerel and Ryan Romero each went 4-for-4 for the 5-0 Titans. Chris Wheat hit a three-urn homer for St. Mary.

Blackout Window Tinting, the first-half Men’s EE champion, moved to 2-3 in the E League with a 14-1 decision over Martini’s. Frank Duran went 4-for-4 and Jason Corral homered for Blackout. Tito Gonzalez singled and scored on a Manuel River single in t he Martini’s seventh inning.
