Diana W. Young February 22, 1935 – August 28, 2012

Amid the art and photography she had so lovingly created in recent years and in the embrace of her husband, George and her daughters, Melinda and Mollie,
Diana left us for now, her nine-year long struggle with breast cancer over.
Once diagnosed  with cancer she responded by choosing to use art and music as a creative  force to aid her in the struggle. She developed unique techniques of gilding glass and using gold and silver on  photographic images. Her years as a teacher, scholar, therapist and artist left us with a rich  collections of memories and work, most recently as a member of the Gilroy Arts and Culture Commission.
A viewing will be held at the Halsted N. Gray, Funeral Directors on Sutter Street in San Francisco  on Friday September 7, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friends are invited to services at Grace Cathedral, Saturday, September 8, 2012, for the funeral beginning at noon.
