District Board of Trustees from 7 to 9pm Tuesday at the Gilroy High
School theater.

Gilroy – The League of Women Voters is hosting a forum for the six candidates running for three seats on the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Trustees from 7 to 9pm Tuesday at the Gilroy High School theater.
A second forum – sponsored by the four unions representing GUSD employees – will be held from 6:60 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, also in the theater.
Harvest Festival benefits IFDES Lodge
Gilroy – The Exchange Club of Gilroy is holding a “Harvest Festival” on Oct. 22, from 6 to 10pm at the IFDES Lodge.
Cost for dinner is only $15. All proceeds benefit the local community.

Symphony season kicks off tonight
Gilroy – The South Valley Symphony’s season opens tonight at Gavilan College at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale at the following locations: The Music Tree in downtown Morgan Hill; Snappy Photo, 785 First St., California Music Company and Porcella’s Music, located on Monterey Street, in Gilroy; at Dorothy McNett’s Place in Hollister; and The Mission Gallery in San Juan Bautista.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors aged 60 and up, and $7 for students aged 12 through 18.

25-year anniversary
Gilroy – South County Housing’s “Gala Silver Anniversary Celebration” will be held on Wednesday, at 6pm at Bonfante Gardens. South County Housing has helped more than 2,000 families have decent, affordable homes.

Gilroy – Country Clutter, 8555 San Ysidro Ave. #F70 in the Premium Outlets, is hosting a “Girl’s Night Out” from 9am to 9pm Friday. Come try your hand at the raffles for prizes like manicures, pedicures and other fun ‘girl’ stuff.
