Gilroy – Police arrested a San Jose man for felony drunken driving after he rear-ended a van on Pacheco Pass Highway.
Alan Adrian Bolin, 38, was driving eastbound on U.S. Highway 152, just east of the Gilroy Crossing and Pacheco Pass Plaza shopping centers Sunday, when he failed to stop and struck a van trying to make a U-turn at Silacci Way.
Bolin, who police said smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test, was arrested for driving under the influence, a felony because he caused an injury.
More than an inch of rain falls on Gilroy
Gilroy – Monday night’s storm dropped 1.25 inches of rain on Gilroy and more is expected today.
For the season, 6.85 inches of rain have fallen. Another storm that could bring up to another inch of rain is expected overnight and into today. Thursday should be partly cloudy and Friday should be sunny and clear before clouds return Saturday.
GHS bands debut concert season
Gilroy – The Gilroy High School Bands debuts their 2004-2005 concert season Thursday in the GHS Theater. The free concert featuring the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble are directed by Joey Fortino and begin at 7pm.
