– This spring semester Gavilan College will offer a class in
conflict resolution to help students learn listening, mediation and
negotiation skills while at school, home, in the workplace or in
the community. All are welcome to enroll in the Wednesday night
class.

Meet the candidates

GILROY – The South County Democratic Club will meet on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m., at the home of Connie Rogers, 7690 Santa Theresa Drive. They will discuss upcoming March primaries and meet the Gilroy candidates. Invited to speak are Manny Diaz, Elaine Alquist, Simon Salinas, Mike Honda and Teresa Guerrero-Daley. Details: 842-8494.

Join the choir

GILROY – Registration is now open for the Gavilan College Concert Choir, directed by Phillip Robb, which begins its spring semester on Tuesday, Jan. 27. The choir meets every Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:45 p.m. at the Gilroy High School choir room and is open to all singers college-age and above. Reading music is helpful, but not required.

Singers who are interested may register at the Gavilan College Registrar’s Office or pick up materials on Jan. 27. Details: 847-2424 ext. 2288.
