GILROY – Take a step back in time as 80 local performers offer a passport back to the 1970s in Gilroy Community Services and John Bisceglie’s all-singing, all-dancing production of “Disco Island”. The musical tribute opens tonight at 7 p.m.

The show features more than 70 hits with enough neon and flashing lights to keep you entertained throughout the two-hour performance.

“It’ll be a really fun show for the audience,” Bisceglie said.

Proceeds benefit city youth programs including Kids Discover Arts, the Youth Artists Show and the Summer Concert Series.

Performances are held in the South Valley Junior High School cafeteria, which has been transformed into the mythical Disco Island complete with runway stage and tiki hut concession stand.

All tickets are $10. Details: 846-8836.
