GILROY – Don’s Vending turned a seven-run sixth inning into a 16-13 win over Marks Tractor Service in Women’s C League play Wednesday at Gavilan Sports Park.

Veronica Rodriguez singled and doubled as Don’s Vending erased a 13-9 deficit and improved to 2-0 atop the seven-team league. Megan Myrich hit a two-run homer in the Vendor sixth frame.

Ermelinda Garcia went 4-for-4 for the winners. Barb Lemberger homered and both Lisa Low and Caroline Martinez fashioned three singles for Marks Tractor Service.

Kay’s Kids pushed across six runs in the final inning to trim M. Rizzo Landscaping 17-16. Kat Corrales powered a three-run triple to lead the Kay’s comeback. Sylvia Solis went 3-for-3 and drove in five Kay’s Kids runs. Sandi Liberatore, Tina Dempsey and Melanie Fajardo each drilled two hits in an 11-run first inning for M. Rizzo Landscaping.

Silvia Vasquez went 4-for-5 as Impalas Car Club defeated Goldsmith Seeds 10-9. Esmeralda Hernandez went 3-for-4 for Goldsmith.

Handmade Healthcare grabbed a two-game lead in the Men’s D League with a 28-9 decision over Los Chilotes Wednesday at Las Animas Park.

Mark Dean clubbed a two-run home run and Paul Bejarano went 4-for-4 for the 3-0 Healthcare. Joel Gaeta and Jorge Landeros hit home runs for Los Chilotes.

Dirty Dozen topped Aladdin Bail Bonds-Fermin’s Appliance Service 17-16 when Tony Sarmiento doubled home Richard Hernandez with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning, leaving both teams at 1-2.

Xavier Puente went 4-for-4 for the Dozen. Juan Arias homered and Eric Cantu drilled three hits for Aladdin-Fermin’s.

Michael’s Mufflers edged the Energizers 11-9 to create a three-team tie for first place in the Women’s D League Wednesday at Christmas Hill Park.

Sophia Gause hit a home rum, triple and single, driving in four runs for the 2-1 Mufflers. Theresa Reyner went 3-for-3 and Joanna Hernandez scored three runs for Michael’s. Gina Orca hit two doubles and scored twice for the 2-1 Energizers.

M&M’s scored nine runs in the first inning and turned back the Angels 19-2. Laura Hagiperos and Karen Turnlund hit homers for 2-1 M&M’s. Shawn Moen and Anja Kersten scored runs for the Angels.
