at Las Animas Park.
Gilroy – Dr. Tile rallied for four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Team Hair FX 17-16 in Men’s D League play Friday at Las Animas Park.

George Espinoza laced a three-run double in the top of the eighth to give Team Hair FX a 16-13 lead. Dr. Tile countered with five consecutive hits to tie the score, then won it with John Robinson’s one-out RBI-single.

Dave Keim Jr. went 4-for-4 and Greg Gilliam provided a double and two singles for the winners. Dennis Subia drilled a triple and two singles, Mark Rodriguez a double and two singles for Team Hair FX.

Gamers In Control is also 2-0 after a 14-6 victory over the VFW Vets.

Rudy Tovar and A. J. Martinez each collected a home run and two singles to pace the Gamers. Mitchell Reese singled and tripled for the VFW Vets.

Los Pistoleros kept pace at 2-0 with a 13-4 triumph over the Players.

Adrian Ponce cracked a grand slam and Rick Trujillo added two triples and a single for the Pistoleros offense. Alex Pena homered and doubled for the Players.

Kurtis Salter homered and doubled Monday as DS Builders opened the Men’s C League season with a 15-14 edging of Keading Performance at Christmas Hill Park.

Eric Gonzalez roped three doubles and Greg Lucio added a single, double and triple to aid the DS Builders cause. Kurt Simmons provided three hits and scored three DS Builders runs.

Rich Perez hit a grand slam and Daniel DeLeon stroked three singles for Keading Performance.

Keller Heating escaped with a 10-9 win over BM Construction by rallying for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Armando Uribe and David Arioto each singled and scored in the Keller seventh frame. Pablo Gutierrez capped a 4-for-5 night with the game-winning RBI hit. Chris Copeland managed three hits and two RBI for the winners. E. J. Mendoza went 4-for-4, Art Tomasetti 3-for-3 for BM Construction.

Rosendo Acevedo hit for the cycle in a 5-for-5, five-RBI effort as Pro Electric topped the Las Animas Sweepers 20-7. Daniel Garcia went 5-for-5, Jaime Rosso 4-for-5 for the Electricians. Lionel Ortiz assisted with a two-run Pro Electric home run. Kevin Orosco went 3-for-4 for the Sweepers.

The Desperados defeated Louie & the Outlaws 21-13 in the Men’s CCC League opener for both squads Monday at Las Animas.

Justin Barroza homered and doubled for the Desperados. Dustin Hyster scored three Desperado runs. Louis Bobadilla went 2-for-4 and scored three Outlaw runs.

The Cali Boys powered to 16 runs in the sixth inning to pull out a 27-12 win over Campbell’s Towing.

Danny Banderas hit two homers in the Cali Boys sixth frame. Alex Gonzalez added a triple and home run in the rally. Humberto Quentazo went 4-for-4 with a sacrifice fly for the winners. Jesse Rawlings hit a home run, triple and single for Campbell’s Towing.

Chris Costello Electric rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to upend the Hit Men 10-9.

Ed Castro’s two-out, two-run single capped the Electrician comeback. Tom Costello went 4-for-4 for the winners, Kurt Maltman 4-for-4 for the Hit Men.
