home in Leesburg, Va.
Mrs. Evelyn Frye Tobler, 84, died on Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at home in Leesburg, Va.
Evelyn was born June 20, 1919, in Loudoun County, Va.; a daughter of the late Eugene David and the late Daisy Shry Frye. She was raised in Lucketts and graduated from Lucketts High School. Also, she attended Mary Washington University and Strayer College for Business.
She was a life-long resident of Loudoun County except for a few years she lived in Gilroy; where she was an active member of Gilroy Presbyterian Church and in the women’s group. She and her family also lived a short time in Faquier County.
Years ago she worked for Deco Westinghouse, although most of her adult life was spent at home dedicated to her family. She loved flowers and spending time outdoors.
Mrs. Tobler was also an active member of Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Haynes Tobler, daughter Sylvia Jeanne Tobler, and two brothers Lloyd E. Frye and Jesse Frye.
Mrs. Tobler is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul H. and Barbara Tobler Jr., of Leesburg, her sister Thelma Frye Everhart, of Leesburg, three grandchildren Keeley, Merrie and Nathan Tobler, all of Leesburg, and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being made by Loudoun Funeral Chapel, Inc., 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, Va., where the family will hold the funeral at 1 p.m. today with Pastor Fletcher Hutcheson Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery in Leesburg. Donations may be made in Mrs. Tobler’s memory to the Parkinsons Foundation 7531 Leesburg Pike #402 Falls Church, Va. (22043-2120).
