Go mustangs!

Kaylana Mah scores twice in victory
The Gilroy High field hockey team posted its third straight shutout to open the 2011 regular season, blanking Willow Glen 5-0 on Monday.

“It was a good game all in all,” GHS head coach Adam Gemar said. “We started slow and finished strong.”

Kaylana Mah had a goal in each half, and had one called back, as the Mustangs jumped ahead 3-0 after the first 30 minutes.

Ashlee Williams tallied her first goal of the season to lift the Mustangs to a 1-0 lead. Mah then followed with her first and Roya Lillie closed the half’s scoring.

Mah and Emma Leach had Gilroy’s second-half goals.
