Kevin Onyejekwe rushed for 200 yards and scored three touchdowns to help power a Gilroy Browns Junior Midgets’ 27-0 victory over Redwood City.
Juan Villarreal added 70 yards and one score. A collective effort by the defense was aided by punishing hits delivered by Henry Gallegos.
Though they do not keep score, the Tiny Mites continued their successful season in Redwood City with another noteworthy performance.
Two touchdown runs by Elijah Sepulveda, along with scores from Charlie Good and Braden Clark paced the offense.
The defense had another well-played game led by Clark, Sepulveda, Reymundo Sanchez, Rossi Oteri, Jalen Hernandez and Spencer Gorgulho. The Tiny Mites next game will be this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at Gilroy High School.

— A late score from Brandon Bumanlag added some excitement in a Junior Pee Wee 28-6 loss.
— The Pee Wee squad fell 31-8 against Redwood City. Keanu Hubbard was responsible for Gilroy’s lone touchdown.
— The cheerleaders also had their preseason competition in Morgan Hill on Saturday and performed well.
