In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to a youth sports program, or the Boy Scouts of America.
 Dean Allemand passed away suddenly at the age of 71. The long-time resident of Hollister was born and raised in Gilroy.
 As a certified electrician, Dean spent many years as partner of Enterprise Electric and later, opened ADM Electric, which closed in 2008 upon his retirement. Â
 Dean was an avid hunter and member of the NRA. He competed in many shooting tournaments, including winning the Leech Cup and being a member of the United States Rifle Team that competed in New Zealand in 1978. He was also California long-range champion one year. Dean was president at one time, and promoted Babe Ruth baseball in Hollister. He also supported the Boy Scouts of America.
 Dean is survived by his wife Diana; sisters Peggy, Patsy, and Alexa; sons Daniel (wife Mary), Steven and Wayne; step-son Chris Rubio (wife Chrissy) and grandchildren, Jenifer, Danielle and John.
 He is preceded in death by his parents George and Orma , first wife Roxana, sister Sinah and daughter-in-law Lauralee.
