Gavilan College’s baseball team committed four errors on its way to a 9-6 home loss to Monterey on Thursday.

The errors led to four unearned runs as the Rams dropped to 17-13 overall and into a tie for first place in the Coast Conference Pacific Division at 10-8.

Live Oak High graduate Connor Sutton went 4-for-5 with a run and an RBI for Gavilan, and fellow Live Oak product Kenny Hall was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

Christopher graduate Bryant Cid and Danny Gutierrez both went 3-for-5 for the Rams, who had 14 hits.

SOFTBALL

Ashley Andrew pitched a five-hitter with 14 strikeouts to lead Hartnell to an 8-1 home win over Gavilan on Thursday.

The Rams, who scored their only run in the second inning, fell to 12-23 overall and 4-10 in the conference.
