The Gavilan volleyball team swept Monterey Peninsula College 3-0 Friday in a Conference Crossover game at home. 
The Rams won 25-10, 25-9, 25-23 to improve to a 10-5 overall record, 1-0 in conference. 
Jessica Stofer led the team in kills with nine and blocks with four. Karina Daniels had 16 digs for Gavilan.
Gavilan opened conference play Wednesday at De Anza College, a 3-2 decision. The Rams won that contest 25-22, 24-26, 24-26, 25-16, 17-15. 
Tasmin Apple had 16 kills and four digs in that game. Sabina Gerard had 38 assists for the Rams. 
The Rams will be back in action at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cabrillo College.
