Mrs. Sotelo was born on Feb. 19, 1905, in San Francisco del Oro, Chihuahua, Mexico
She is survived by children, Hortencia (Robert) Chaigres, Herman (Christina) Sotelo, Ruben (Rachel) Sotelo, Elisa (Jim) Polanco, Irene (Herman) Peña, Alma Sotelo, Mario (Alicia) Sotelo, Jesse (Sara) Sotelo, Alfonso Viscarra and Suzie Sotelo; sisters, Manuela “Nellie” Guevarra and Micky Briano; 56 grandchildren; 126 great-grandchildren; and 86 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan M. Sotelo; children, Epifaño Sotelo, Eleanor Viscarra, John Sotelo Jr., Margaret Reyes, Joe Sotelo, Salvador Sotelo; and grandson David Chaigres.
A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, at the funeral home, then to St. Mary Church for Mass at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
