Jeffries Sets Two Title Fights
Hollister boxer Kelsey “Ali’i Warrior of the South Bay” Jeffries will be taking on a rare challenge this summer: Fighting two title bouts in 30 days.
Jeffries’ manager Bruce Anderson announced Monday that two title fights have been set, once for defense of Jeffries’ IFBA title at 126 pounds on June 15 and the other for a new NABF belt at 122 pounds. That fight will take place July 15. Opponents have yet to be named for both.
The June event will take place at Seven Feathers Casino on Canyonville, Ore. The July fight will go on at Legends Casino in Yakima, Wash.
Jeffries (33-9, 2 KO’s) is coming off a title loss to Mexico’s Jackie Nava (13-1-1, 8 KO’s), Jeffries’ first falter in the ring since June 2003.
