in Salinas during a 10-team tournament Sept. 9-10, finishing 6-0
and outscoring their opponents 65-5.

Casey Lester threw four innings and allowed just one run in championship play. The Chaos broke the 1-1 tie in the third inning. Kaylana Mah was hit by a pitch, and Shawnte Garcia, Amber Gamboa and Celeste Jimenez had consecutive base hits to score four runs.
In the fourth inning, Ashlee Williams ripped a 2- RBI double. Garcia, Gamboa, Randi Rogers and Serina Sandoval followed with hits to allow Gilroy to score seven more runs to finish the game with a 10-run mercy rule.

Also, contributing to the 12U team this weekend with an strong batting performance was Shawnte Garcia (.667, 8-12, 6 RBIs, 7 runs), Celeste Jimenez (.600 6-10, 7 runs), Randi Rogers (.545, 6-11, 7 RBIs), Casey Lester (.500, 8-16, 4HRs, 11 RBIs, 7 runs) and Sarina Sandoval (.500 7-14, 6 runs).
Kaylana Mah, Ashlee Williams, Amber Gamboa, Aly Olvera, Marizza Lucio, Kayla Madrano, Mariah Martinez, Alex Zamaripa and Megan Lasater played a part in the Chaos success.
Pitching: Aly Olvera (3 IP, 3 K?s), Megan Lasater (2 IP 1K), Casey Lester (8 IP 5K?s), Celeste Jimenez (8 IP 9K?s) for a total of 21 innings, 18K?s and 5 runs.

The Gilroy Chaos White moved up to a 14-and-under tournament after previously playing 12-and-under in Hayward and finished in second place.
Against the No. 1 seed San Jose Renegades, who were coming in at 6-0, the Chaos was up to the challenge. Stephanie Rodriguez pitched six innings in the semifinal game and threw another seven innings in championship.
In the first inning, Rodriguez drew a walk, and Alex Duarte hit a double to score Rodriguez. The game was scoreless untill the seventh inning. Jasmine Guitterrez lead off the inning with a single, and Stephanie Gomez had an RBI.
But in the bottom of the seventh, the Renegades hit a three-run walk off home run with two outs to win the game.
?It was heartbreaking,? said coach James Jimenez. ?To come so close and have the game snatched away from us like that was tough. But these youngsters showed a lot of heart and determination this weekend. We definitly learned and will continue to compete with these older girls.?
The defence for the Chaos was solid. Chelsea Chilman, Nicole Lara and Jasmine Guiterrez and Sarah Ordaz made several nice plays in the outfield.

Also, contributing to the 14U team was Stephanie Rodriguez (667, 6-9, 3 doubles, 1 triple and 10 runs scored), Chelsea Chilman (.455, 5-11, double, triple, 4 runs scored), Dani Hemeon (.429 5 runs, 5 RBIs), Alex Duarte (2 doubles, 5 RBIs), Stephanie Gomez (5 runs) and Lisa Woodson (.400, 6 RBIs). Elaina Vasquez, Jasmine Guiterrez, Sarah Ordaz and Nicole Lara were also a big part of the success.
