After losing 91 pounds, Gilroy native Ada Wong will face off against fellow contestant Elizabeth Ruiz for the third finalist spot on NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” TV show.

Viewers can vote on who will join the two other contestants who will compete for the show’s $250,000 grand prize in the Tuesday, Dec. 14 finale.

If Wong does not make the final three, the 27-year-old will still have a chance for the $100,000 at-home prize based on the highest percentage of weight loss.

On the first episode of the show, Wong weighed in at 258 pounds. In a September phone interview, she said she was looking forward to trying some new adventures the show had to offer.

“For the first time, I feel like I can do sports,” she said in September. “I never dared to even think about being an athlete. I was always overweight. Now I can run marathons, go snowboarding, rock climbing.”

On Tuesday’s episode that appeared this week, Wong did just that. The final four contestants had to run a marathon and Wong, who now lives in San Francisco, finished the task in a little more than four hours.

The finale will air at 9 p.m. Dec. 14 on NBC.

Voting is still open for the last finalist spot on NBC.com.
