Martin Albert Stein entered peacefully into rest on May 30, 2009 at his home in Morgan Hill at the age of 96. He and his wife, Marie owned and operated Advance Dry Cleaners for over 50 years, retiring in 2005. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, his two daughters, three grandsons, and great-granddaughter. A memorial service was held on June 3, 2009 at St. Catherine Church in Morgan Hill.
Linda Mae Dellanini passed away at her home June 5, 2009 at the age of 57. Linda is survived by her brothers, Ray (Lupe) Dellanini of Gilroy and Robert (Mary) Dellanini of Fremont; aunt of Paul Dellanini, Patricia Dellanini, Joseph Marphis, Roger Marphis, and Sara Dellanini.
Roy Northington Cranford passed away at his Paicines ranch at the age of 79. He was born in Kentucky and lived in San Benito County for 25 years. He was a farmer by profession and his operation was on Frazier Lake Rd. in Hollister.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated today, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine Parish, 17400 Peak Avenue in Morgan Hill. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Memorial Park, Morgan Hill.
Portia (Giretti) Bruton, 68 years old, passed away at her home June 5th, 2009 after a six year battle with colon cancer. Portia is survived by her husband of 44 years, Don Bruton; Her eldest son, Derek Bruton and wife Helen; Daughter Kassie Bufford and husband Jason; And her youngest son, Peter Bruton and his wife Darcy. Portia was blessed with four precious grandchildren: Sera and Grace Bruton, Clare Bufford and Tyler Bruton.
Virginia passed away at Valley House Rehabilitation Facility in Santa Clara at the age of 91. Virginia, a long time resident of Morgan Hill, was born in Tontitown, AR. The daughter of Edward and Rosa Pellin of Gilroy, she was married to Rino Marino Tonus. Together they proudly owned and operated The Villa Restaurant in Morgan Hill for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her brothers Albert, Richard, and Marion. She is survived by her son Robert Michael Tonus, sisters Florence Rosso of Penn Valley, CA and Sister Mary Eugenia Pellin of Barling, AR, sister-in-law Evelyn Pellin of Hollister, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, June 12, 2009 from 9:00-11:00 A.M. and to a celebration of her life starting at 11:00 A.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill. Private interment will follow.
