James Harold Taylor

James H. Taylor passed away Tuesday afternoon at the age of 82. Born in Stigler, OK and had live in San Juan Bautista since he was 8 years old. He has been a local farmer and mechanic for over 30 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Aleutian Islands. Member of the San Juan V.F.W. and San Juan Farm Bureau. His hobbies were building engines for cars and building radio controlled airplanes.

Eugenio (Gino) Bozzo

Eugenio (Gino) Bozzo passed away Monday morning at his home in Hollister. Born in Italy and had lived in Hollister for 55 years. He had worked for the City of Hollister in the public works department for 25 years. Eugenio was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening for his friends and neighbors.

Frances Catherine Rodriquez passed away April 26, 2009. She is survived by her children Catherine (Ruben) Barbosa of Gilroy, Jacqueline (Scott) Pryor-Bailey of Waxahachie, TX, Robert (Libby) Rodriquez of Gilroy, and Timothy (Tracey) Rodriquez of Hollister; grandmother of Cindy Martin of Davis, Michael Barbosa of Los Gatos, Christopher Rodriquez of Gilroy, Mitchell Rodriquez of Redding, David Pryor attending the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO, Dillon Pryor of Waxahachie, TX, Kristin Gallant of Watertown, NY, and Tim Rodriquez of Hollister; great-grandmother to Ryan and Grace Martin of Davis, and Jack Gallant of Watertown, NY; sister of Alice Sousa and Albert, Jim, and Donald Dixon. Preceded in death by her husband Chilo and her brother John.

Sandra Celeste Rodriguez

Sandra Celeste Rodriguez passed away peacefully in her Hollister home with her family at her bedside on Sunday, April 26, 2009. Sandra was born and raised in Hollister. She lived in many places throughout her lifetime including Hawaii and the Los Angeles area, but she always called Hollister her home and lived here for the last few years. She worked for 30 years for Pacific Bell and retired in 2004. Sandra loved to organize parties and she was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed decorating her home and had a talent for finding bargains. She also was known for her generosity and charitable efforts towards others.

Frank J. Lucchelli

Frank J. Lucchelli passed away Sunday afternoon at the age of 88 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital. Born in Watsonville, he had lived in San Juan Bautista all his life. Frank was a former Chief of Police of San Juan Bautista for 30 years and then became Welfare fraud investigator for the San Benito County District Attorney's office . In the 1950s and 1960s Frank had been mayor of San Juan Bautista, Fire Chief and Scout master for the Boy Scouts.

Andrea (Andy) Barberi

Passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 in San Jose, CA. Daughter of Richard & Becky Barberi of San Benito County and Dennis Raquet of Vietnam. Sister of Shawn Raquet (Nicci) of Santa Cruz, CA. Aunt of Hunter & Cruz Raquet of Santa Cruz. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. A native of San Jose, Andy attended Gilroy Schools and graduated from Gilroy High School in 1989. She was a graduate of Heald Business College in Monterey.

Bennetta B. Schramm

Bennetta B. Schramm passed away April 22, 2009 at her home in Gilroy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles Schramm; survived by her sister Billie Paddock, niece Kathy and great niece Marcie all of Seattle, WA.

Current resident of Chowchilla, prior resident of Gilroy from 1969 to 1999. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Loretto and Maria Del Carmen Gutierrez and sisters, Maria Bravo and Guadalupe Cabasos. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Petra Rodriguez Gutierrez and ten children: Janie Mchammer, Paul Gutierrez, Delia Gutierrez, Cayetano Gutierrez, Jr., Raul Gutierrez, David Gutierrez deceased 1978, Rachel Avila, Daniel Gutierrez, Rebecca Valdez and Lydia Moreno.
