Frances Elaine Camacho

Frances Elaine Camacho, a native of Gilroy, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2008. She is survived by her five children, daughters, Jean Dix (Pleasanton) and Luann Smith (Brentwood); sons, Steve Camacho (Salinas), Fran Camacho (Gilroy), and Don Camacho (Pensacola, FL); 15 grandchildren, 33 great- grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Janine Annette Ferguson and Joseph Leal Camacho.

Jimmie Rogers McCoy

We celebrate the life of our beloved husband, father, papa, brother, son and friend, Jimmie "Jim" McCoy, a generous and warm spirit, who died after a courageous, year-long battle with lung cancer.  He was 63.  Jimmie was born in Virginia, and raised in Ohio.  He later moved to the San Pablo Bay Area after marrying wife, Barbara of 42 years, where they raised their two children Jeffrey, and Elizabeth. Jimmie was a lover of sports, and coached many Pony baseball teams.  He loved golf and served a year as president for the Pinole Men's Golf Assoc.  His greatest golf achievement was his cherished hole-in-one at Franklin Canyon GC.  He enjoyed watching the horses run at Golden Gate Fields and once hit the "Pick Six".  He loved to watch football and enjoyed traveling after retiring from Safeway Warehouse in Tracy, CA where he worked for 27 yrs as a mechanic.  Jimmie also was a member of the S.I.R.S. club in Vallejo, and the Richmond Moose Lodge.  He lived his last remaining 15 years in Oakley, CA.  He is proceeded in death by his father, Robert "Mack" McCoy and brother Roy McCoy.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara McCoy (Brookshire); son, Jeffrey McCoy; daughter Elizabeth Rivera; son-in-law, Robert Rivera; grand daughters, Isabella & Analisa Rivera; daughter-in-law, Maria McCoy; mother, Bertie Marie McCoy; brothers, Richard, Corbet, Teddy Sr, Jerry and Michael McCoy; sisters, Ethel, Betty, Lorine, Becky and Linda; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Alfredo Padilla Castaneda

Alfredo Padilla Castaneda passed away last Wednesday at the age of 75 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. A native of Mexico City, Mexico, coming to San Benito County 58 years ago residing in San Juan Bautista. Mr. Castaneda was a member of Old Mission San Juan Bautista and was a retired supervisor for Western Farm Services. He is survived by his wife Maria L. Castaneda of San Juan Bautista, his children, Maria Jessie Mansmith of San Juan Bautista, Sylvia Castaneda Downing of Costa Mesa, Alicia Cardenas of Temecula and Alfredo Padilla Castaneda, Jr. of Hollister, and grandchildren, Esther Castaneda, Alyssa and Patrick D. Mansmith, Fabian Dagang, Marissa Castaneda, Aidan Patrick Castaneda, Martin and Clarissa Cardenas. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sharon Ann Zarnegar

Sharon was a devoted mother and Gran. She is survived by her 4 children, their spouses and grandchildren; Nusheen Zarnegar-Hall, her husband, Harris and children Spencer and Carsyn; daughter Jennifer Zarnegar; son Brian Zarnegar; and son Mark Zarnegar and his wife Melanie.

Patricia Duncan Rockwell

On May 9, Patty joined her recently departed parents Bob and Nat Duncan from complications due to breast cancer. Patty 54, was a lifelong resident of Morgan Hill and Gilroy. She was a much beloved teacher at Britton Middle School. Her home economics classes, like her life were filled with laughter and great aromas. Patty is a graduate of Live Oak High School, and received a BA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Home Economics and her teaching credential from San Jose State University. After college, Patty worked in retail. Twenty year ago, she started substitute teaching in Morgan Hill, and joined the faculty at Britton in 2001.

Hector Angel Del Real

Hector Angel Del Real entered into eternal life in Hollister at the age 49 on May 13, 2008. He was born in Los Angeles but moved to Hollister as a young boy where he has been a life long resident. He worked in Environmental Management (Hazardous Waste Disposal) for the past 27 years. He opened his company One Earth Environmental, Inc. in 1994. He married his wife Annette Casarez Del Real in 1979 in Hollister. He served in the US Navy from 1976 to 1982 and was a member of St. Benedicts Catholic Church & Hillside Christian Fellowship. In his free time Hector enjoyed Riding his Harleys, fishing, hunting, camping, traveling and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Pete and Mi Chuy Bueno and mother-in- law, Rosemary Casarez.

Alfredo Castaneda

Alfredo Castaneda of San Juan Bautista, passed away Wednesday at the age of 75. A funeral Mass is planned for Tuesday, at 12 Noon at the Mission San Juan Bautista with a Rosary service offered Monday evening at 7:00 P.M. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Fred Lomas

Fred "Freddie" Lomas passed away peacefully at home on Sunday May 11, 2008. He is preceded in death by his father Cruz Lomas, and his brother Raul Lomas. Fred was born in San Jose, CA and grew up in Gilroy, CA where he attended and graduated from Gilroy High School. He was a highly skilled woodworker and he made a career out of making custom doors. He loved music, and movies and of course, the great, big family gatherings. He is survived by his mother, Cruz Lomas, sons Fred Lomas, Jr.(Monique), Nathan Lomas, Robert Lomas, Eric Lomas, Tommie Lomas and his grandson Jayden Matthew Lomas, brother Art Lomas (Sylvia), sisters Diamond Hernandez (Pete), Rosie Paculba (Ray), Margaret Mendoza (Henry), and sister-in-law Lydia Lomas. Plus many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. His laugh and smile made any time spent with him, a good time. We love you and we know that no matter what, you will always be right here by our side.

Janice L. Pyzer

Janice L. Pyzer, Born March 11, 1948 in King City, CA passed away Sunday May 4 2008 after a battle with cancer. Janice is survived by her sons Rick, Jason and Kris Pyzer of Fresno, grandkids Travis, Jordan, Baylee, Kameron, Casey, and Ryan Pyzer, Brother Kenny Beatty of Coarsegold, CA, and former Husband Tim Pyzer of Coarsegold, CA. Mom loved camping and being outdoors with family, and friends. Mom will be missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on through her family and friends. A Mom's love is unconditional, and Mom showed that to her family. Mom, you will be forever in our hearts and thoughts. We love you. The family and friends of Mom will have a Celebration of Life memorial for her at her brother's house in Coarsegold, CA on May 25, 2008.

Dawn Naumann

Dawn Naumann passed away at a local convalescent hospital on Wednesday May 7, 2008 from complications at the age of 46 years. She was born in Arizona and is survived by her mother, Uldine Harris of Escondido; son Travis Naumann of Hollister; daughter Dana Naumann of San Juan Bautista; brother Gator Franklin of San Diego; sisters Darlene Harris of Washington, Denice Harris of Escondido, Patricia (Gary) Smith of Escondido and Dianna Allen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her father, Ralph Harris and brother Darrell Harris.
