Victor Mendoza

Victor passed away at San Leandro Hospital at the age of 52 years. He was a agricultural worker all his life. Recitation of the rosary will be Thursday at 7:00 P.M. at Grunnagle Funeral Home. The Mass will be Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery.

Joe (Pepe) R. Cordova

Pepe was a long time Gilroy Food Employee, most recently living in Winton, CA. He is survived by his dear wife of 56 years, Lupe Cordova, loving father to John Cordova, Steve (Bertha) Cordova, and Martha Cordova, brother of Manuel, Robert, Jesse, Emma, and Connie; 9 grandchildren and 10 great -grandchildren.

Sal Marquez

Entered into rest in Salinas at the age of 64. He was born in Hollister and lived here all of his life. He served in the US Army from 1967 to 1969 and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He worked most of his adult life as a truck driver last working for El Modeno Gardens. In his free time he enjoyed playing pool and liked to bowl.

Darrel V. Helmhout

Passed away at his Hollister home at the age of 55. Arrangements are being made for private cremation with burial at sea through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.

George Regalado

George Regalado passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Sacramento, CA. He is survived by his daughters Denise Cocio, Roslyn Regalado and Bernadette Regalado, grandfather of George and Jason Regalado, Kiahni Coleman, Sarina Cocio and great-grandfather of Destiny Regalado. Mr. Regalado owned and operated Regalado Roofing for many years in the Gilroy area.

Robert Kenneth Tremblay

Robert is survived by his wife Martha, children Laura, Rebecca, Lainie, Robert, Brad, Gary, and Harbor, brother Ernest, sister Yvonne, and 17 grandchildren. Services have been held. Burial took place at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy.

Alicia Salinas

Alicia E. Salinas passed away peacefully on March 5, 2008 at Saint Louise Hospital in Gilroy, CA. She was 84. Alicia was born March 25, 1923 in Monterrey, Mexico. In 1961, Alicia and her husband moved to California with their children. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed the Morgan Hill Senior Center, Senior trips, and traveling with her family. She was devoutly religious and was a member of Saint Catherines Church in Morgan Hill. Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Ezequiel and son Jaime Salinas. She is survived by children Salvador Salinas, Hugo Salinas, Martha Perales, Lupe Vaca, Diana Pak, Grace Diaz, Louie Salinas, Betty Beach, Tony Salinas, Marylou Thorpe and Santos Salinas; and 27 grandchildren; and 24 great- grandchildren. Visition will be held on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 5:00 P.M., at Johnsons Funeral Home followed by a Rosary. Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 10:00 A.M., at Saint Catherine's Church in Morgan Hill.

Annabelle (Anne) Ohe

Annabelle "Anne" Ohe passed away Thursday afternoon at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. Born in Iowa, having lived in San Bruno for several years, she came to Hollister in 1979. She had been and executive for AT&T Telephone Co. for 30 years before her retirement. Anne was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and their Alter Society along with the Y.L.I.

Kenneth Stafford

Kenneth Wayne Stafford passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, after a sudden illness. Ken, a resident of Reedly, CA was born in Hollister, CA. on March 9, 1947. As a youngster he played Little League Baseball. At nine years old, he payed well enough to make the Little League Majors. Playing third base and pitching for the Braves, he made the all star team. He also played in Hollister's Babe Ruth League where he was also named to the all star team.
