Kenneth F. Peer, Sr.

Kenneth F. Peer, Sr., passed away Sunday evening at St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy at the age of 85. Memorial services are pending from Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson funeral Home in Hollister.

Richard D. Biggs

Richard "Dave" Biggs passed away February 2, 2008 in Gilroy. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 8th at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 Fourth St., Gilroy, CA.

Felipe Torres

Felipe Torres was born on December 13, 1937 in Tulare, California, passed away on January 31, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto with his family by his side. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Patsy Torres, daughter, Danielle Berry, son, Mike Torres, son-in-law, Ken Berry and daughter-in-law, Cindi Torres. He loved and was so proud of his 5 grandchildren: Ty Torres (4 yrs old), Maya Torres (2 Yrs old), Kaitlyn Berry (6 months), KC Berry (17 yrs old) and Cary Ferguson (21yrs old).

Dolph R. Casarino

Dolph R. Casarino, born and raised in Vallejo, California, passed away Saturday night in Hollister, at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Julie, daughter, Caela and son-in-law, Mike Monahan, daughter, Teri and son-in-law, Bret Butcher and grandson, Kyle, son, Dario and daughter-in-law, Carole, grandchildren, Alexis and Damian Casarino, step-granddaughters, Tara and Lara, and step-great- grandson, Evyn.

Mary Lou Gonzalez

Mary Lou Gonzalez passed away in Morgan Hill. She was born in Sinaloa, Mexico and lived in Morgan Hill for 50 years and recently in San Jose. She is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio C. Gonzalez and is survived by her children, Antonio Gonzalez Jr., of Santa Nella, Johnny Gonzalez of San Jose, Dorothy Ybarra of San Jose, Jenny Jones of Salinas, Alex Franco of Fowler, Ralph Franco of Yakima, WA, Benjamin Franco of Texas and Raymond Franco of Madera, her granddaughters, Ida Santellano, Joey Ybarra and Crystal Martinez all of San Jose. She is also survived by many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and is preceded in death by her son, Pete Franco.

Lodovico (Vic) Brunetto

Lodovico (Vic) Brunetto, Retired artist and local bank designer passed away January 29, 2008. Vic was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Betty; his sister, Mae Galli; his niece, Carole Galli; and his parents, Bartolomeo and Maria Sciandro Brunetto of Italy. He is survived by his children: Kathy O'Rourke-Christopher of Glen Ellen, Nancy Dempster (Bill) of Mill Valley, Michael Brunetto of Napa, Mary Ann Sanidad (Dan) of Morgan Hill, Ellen Cook (Greg) of Shingletown, and Peter Brunetto (Laura) of San Jose; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brother-in-law, Tom Galli of South San Francisco.

Enrique I. Aguilar

Enrique I. Aguilar passed away in Morgan Hill at the age of 53.

Joe C. Sandoval

Previous resident of Hollister passed away in his home at Sun City, AZ. He is survived by his children Joseph, Joby, Robert, 8 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren, his wife's children, Sonja, Karla, their 5 children, and 4 great grandchildren, his brothers Ted, John, Fred, Sammy, and sisters; Suzie, Emma, Dora, and Mary Lydia. He is preceded in death by his brother Domicindo, sisters Lucy, Mary Rose and Joe's second wife Joyce.

Doris Elizabeth Starbody

Doris went home to be with the Lord on December 6, 2007. A long time resident of Hollister, Doris was an active member of St. Benedicts/Sacred Heart Church, past President of the Young Ladies Institute (YLI), Altar Society, Small Faith Group and the Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary. Doris enjoyed golfing and was a long time member of the Bolado Park Golf Course and past President of the Bolado Park 9-Holers Club. Her loving husband John preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister Ruth Bentley, son John (Bob) Starbody, and daughter Elizabeth Starbody Rodriguez. In addition she leaves behind 5 grandchildren,5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In loving memory of Doris, family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of the Resurrection to be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Benedicts Church with reception to follow. Donna Lou Klarich

Donna was born the second child of Stanley and Inez Watchous on October 30, 1931, in Matfield Green, KS and passed into a life that will never end on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. She was a nurse for 42 years, where she spent most of her time working in emergency rooms and intensive care units. The biggest joy in her life was her family who will miss her dearly.
