Richard S. Poe passed away in Fresno at the age of 62. Arrangements are being made for private cremation with interment at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA
Passed away unexpectedly on September 27th 2007. She was born in Grafton, West Virginia, April 25, 1951 and moved to Santa Clara County when she was 6 years old. She was raised by her mother, the late Dorothy Lee Brown. Patricia is survived by her daughter Linda Christine Williams, and three grandchildren, Megan, Cortnie and Hunter.
Richard S. Hall, (Dick Hall), a long time Hollister resident, passed away peacefully in his home in Dunsmuir, CA ,on September 21, 2007, after a short battle with cancer. He was 86 years old.
Raymond Cadei died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in Gilroy. Husband, father, soldier, grandpa, and community volunteer, Ray was born in Iowa in 1915. He moved with his family to Northern California and eventually to Gilroy as a child. He spent his formative years and all his adult life in Gilroy, except for a tour of duty in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Ray married Isabel in 1942, and she preceded him in death in 2004. They are survived by their children; Diane Cadei of Salinas, Raymond M. Cadei and his wife Toni Moore of Sacramento, Lydia Cadei of Gilroy, Cecilia Cadei Mitchell and her husband Steve Mitchell of Eagle, Idaho and Kay Cadei Newby and her husband Clark Newby of Redwood City; grandchildren Emily Cadei of Washington D.C., Carolyn Cadei of Tour, France, Matthew Mitchell of Eagle, Idaho, and Grace and Sam Newby, both of Redwood City; brother Terry Cadei of Gilroy and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a proud member of the American Legion, VFW, SIRS, Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus. As community volunteers, Ray and Isabel worked for many local charities including the Special Olympics and the Garlic Festival from its inception for over 20 years. Donations to Hope Rehabilitation Services, Gilroy Facility 8855 Murray Avenue, Gilroy, CA 95020 or the Gilroy Lions Club, P.O. Box 1788, Gilroy, CA 95021 in his memory are preferred and appreciated.
Vigil Service will be held Friday, October 5, 2007, 7:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 6, 2007, 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. A full obituary will be in Tuesday's paper.

He was the loving husband of Debra Wollaston, brother of David Wollaston, Karen Botkin, Lou and Bob Gaudin: caring father of Eric and Matthew; grandfather of Kyle, Brianna and Jacob; uncle to 14 nieces and nephews. Doug is remembered for his heart of gold, optimistic nature and perpetual desire to help others. He served his country proudly and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a carpet layer for 13 years and a self-employed industrial caterer in Silicon Valley for 24 years. He was loved by all who knew him and will be truly missed! XOXO.

Rito Raymond Velazquez, age 83, of Hollister, passed away peacefully Saturday at his son's residence in Turlock. Rito was born in Mexico and came to Morgan Hill, CA, at the age of 16. He moved to San Jose in 1957 before he settled to Hollister in 1988. He was in the construction industry for 50 years. He was an avid hunter.
Eleanor Raney Hornall was born in Morgan Hill, CA. She entered into rest in Spokane, WA, following a long battle with heart related problems. She was the daughter of Albert & Carrie Raney and attended local schools. Following her college graduation, she married Gordon Hornall and taught school for many years at Rucker School in Gilroy, CA, and together they raised their three children; John, Anne, and Jeanne, of Morgan Hill.
