Don O'Donoghue passed on June 4, 2007, after a 14 month battle with cancer. He was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Don grew up and went to school in Scarboro, Ontario until age 16, when he was drafted by the St. Catherine's Black Hawks Junior A Hockey club. Don was drafted by the NHL Oakland Seals in
Ida Bellezza passed away June 3rd in Sacramento at the age of 96. She was born in Indiana, spent her childhood in Montana and moved to Gilroy in 1925 when she was 14. Ida was one of eight children. She is survived by her brother Ernest Bellezza, his wife Connie and her sons Mike and Chris Jaszewski; her sister in law Margaret Bellezza; nephew Don Bellezza and children; and niece Marsie Bellezza Mott and her husband John Mott and their children Stephanie and Adam of Sacramento, where Ida resided the last 11 years. She will be greatly missed.

Alice E. Herron passed away June 5, 2007 at the age of 95. She is survived by her son Gordon and his wife Donna Herron and grandchildren Matthew and Christina Herron all of Gilroy. She also leaves behind her sister Doris Rasmussen of Aptos and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held.
Jorge (George) B. Rios passed away Friday, June 1, 2007 at the age of 87. He was a native of Batesville, Texas. He retired from his own bar business of 30 yrs. and moved to Gilroy, CA in 1970 with his family. He is survived by his wife of 59-1/2 years, Eliodora V. Rios of Gilroy; children, George Jr. (Elinor) of San Juan Bautista; Berta (Raul) DeLa Rosa of San Antonio, TX.; Hector (Dolores)of Sabinal, TX.; Maria (Albert) Rocha of Gilroy; Gilbert (Dolores) of Hollister; Raul (Laura) of Reno, Nev.; Raymundo of Gilroy, Raynaldo of Gilroy; Norma (Marcus) Sigmundo of Granite Bay; Lucinda (Bill) Florek of Hollister; and Fred of Gilroy; his 21 grandchildren, Priscilla, George III, Rosemary, Cathy, George IV, J.R., Hector Jr., Rene, Hilda, Anna, Elizabeth, Geneve, Michelle, Eliodora, Evelyn, Reyna, William III, Krystal, Jaclyn, Marilyn, and Katelyn; 23 great- grandchildren; sisters, Modesta Gonzales of Crystal City, TX, and Teresa Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; and brother, Gregorio of Crystal City, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perfecto and Juanita Rios. His sisters Maria Mata and Lorenza Garcia; brother Ambrosio Rios. All those whose lives he has touched are invited to attend services in his honor.
