Nancy Hays was entered into rest on February 15, 2007 in San Jose. She was born in Gilroy to Dr. James and Floy Ebaugh, who survive her. She resided in Gilroy most of her life, graduating from Gilroy High School in 1965. She graduated from San Jose State University in 1969. She was the loving mother of Heather Hays Ancheta (Lawrence) and the devoted grandmother to her precious Kalea Ancheta. She leaves her sister Laura Stocks (David) of Gilroy and her brother Mark Ebaugh (Torrey) of Madera. Her brother David Ebaugh preceded her in death. Her sister-in-law Ellen Ebaugh of Spokane survives.

She lived many years of her adult life in San Leandro and Gilroy. In her younger years, she and her husband, Roy, worked a ranch near Cold Creek, Colorado.
