Raymond Perez died peacefully at home in Hollister on November 3, 2006 at the age of 59 years. Ray received masters degrees in Nuclear and Mechanical Engineering from UCLA. Prior to moving to the Bay Area to work for Northrop Grumman for the past two decades.
John Torres passed away suddenly at his residence in Sparks, Nevada, on Nov. 12th at the age of 68 years. He was a native of Mountainair, New Mexico and had resided in San Benito County for 50 years before moving to Sparks two years ago.
Dotti passed peacefully at her home in Arlington, TX following cancer surgery. She was raised in Morgan Hill, graduated from Cal Berkeley and is survived by 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Internment was at Mount Hope Cemetery on November 18th, a reception followed at Rudy Ranch.
Eugene Biddle passed away November 13, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Morgan Hill, after a battle with cancer. Gene was born in Seoul, Korea to parents Archibald and Mary Biddle, and later moved to Tacoma, WA when he was twelve. After serving in the Navy in WWII, he settled in the Bay Area with his bride, Lucille. Gene also served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He raised his family in San Jose working for FMC and then IBM. Gene and Lucille lived in Cambrian Park for 33 years, and have resided in Morgan Hill for the last 13 years.
Passed away in Hollister, CA at the age of 57 years. Mother of Felicia Tanner Corbett of Loomis, CA and sister of Jayne Curtis of Aromas. As per her wishes arrangements have been made for private cremation and inurnment.
Milton R. (Mitty) Hitchcock passed away in Redwood City. He was born on Sept. 28, 1925, in Salinas, CA, to Milton and Louise Hitchcock, a pioneer Salinas Valley family, 3rd generation. He lived in Hollister since 1992. He graduated from Salinas High School in 1944 and served his country in the Merchant Marines before attending UC Davis. He graduated in 1950 from UC Davis and worked for his father at Hitchcock Packing. During Mitty's produce career, he worked at Salinas Marketing Co-op, NH3 Fertilizer, partner in Let-Us-Pak, co-owner of C&H Packing, and custom grower for various produce companies. He was in the produce industry for 40 years. Mitty retired in 1993 and was an avid bird hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Elks, NRA, SIRS, Salinas Golf and Country Club, Bolado Park Golf Course, Ducks Unlimited and a charter member of Salinas Gun Club.
A long time Hollister resident passed away on November 10, 2006. Beloved husband for 37 years of Carmen Flores and loving father to Jose Sergio Flores, Angie Cruz, and Erika Rodriguez,adoring grandfather to Daniel, Damian, Jennifer, Adrian, Vanessa, Jasmine, and Aiden, who knew him as "Ito", second child of Manuel and Angela Flores and brother to Marisela, Antonia, and Carlota Flores.
