We played well and kept the match competitive,” head coach Jose Hernandez said.

The Mustangs have outscored opponents 10-5 in their first seven games of the season, compared to a slow start (1-4-2 with two goals) in 2009.

GHS (3-2-2), has a couple weeks to heal before jumping back on the pitch for its final non-league game against Live Oak on Jan. 8. Tri-County Athletic League begins Jan. 12 versus Alisal.
