OK, so there’s no hanging chads, but whatever happened to secret ballots?
Where I voted, at least, there was a row of machines. If the first few were in use you had to walk directly behind the people voting at them to get to an available machine. If someone happened to be viewing the summary screen as you walked by, it would be trivial to look over their shoulder and see everyone and everything they voted for.
I’m a computer professional, and all in favor of progress in this area, but compared to the current solution I’ll take chads, thank you.
