Gilroy – God’s Gangsters fashioned an eight-run rally in the sixth inning Wednesday to earn a 10-9 victory over Team Hair FX in Men’s Winter DD League softball play at Christmas Hill Park.

John Hernandez slapped a two-run home run and Roger Hanrahan provided a run-scoring triple as the Gangsters erased a 9-2 deficit. Hanrahan went 3-for-3 and James Jimenez homered for the 1-1 winners. John Ceballos went 3-for-3 for Team Hair FX.

Slapped Together opened the season with a 19-11 verdict over the Slammers.

Abram Espinoza went 4-for-4 with a home run and Alan Hazelberg added three hits and a sacrifice fly to the Slapped surge. Joe Duran and Isaac Gonzales each mustered three hits and scored three runs for the Slammers.

Cosa Nostra used an eight-run third inning to edge Pacific Coast Bail Bonds 9-7. Tito Flores hit a solo homer in the Cosa Nostra second, then singled home one run in the third. Beto Avila doubled and tripled for the winners. Benito Landeros delivered a double and two singles for the Pacific Coast Bail Bonds offense.

Don’s Vending is off to a 2-0 Women’s Winter League start after a 30-7 nod over Toby’s Girls Wednesday at Las Animas Park.

Vanessa Pena homered in a 4-for-5 night and Ermalinda Garcia went 5-for-5 for the Vendors. Elena Ayala singled and doubled for Toby’s Girls.

Antoinette Bowe went 4-for-4 to lift Goldsmith’s Seeds by Farmers Insurance 6-4. Norma Wendt and Kathy White each went 2-for-3 for the Seeds. Cindy Casillas lined a two-run single for Farmers.

Eva Neibel stroked a triple and two singles to highlight an 18-3 John Perez DDS-Garlic World win over Kim’s Drycleaning Service. Mary Oteri went 4-for-4 and Stephenie Johnston scored four runs for the winners. Nicole Lara and Tracy Nelson each powered two hits for Kim’s Drycleaning Service.

Rudi Groppe’s grand slam led 2-0 Sherrie Rennard Realty past Frame Your Family In Eyewear 8-3 in Co-Rec Winter D play at Christmas Hill Thursday. John Jimenez homered for the Realtors. Nicole Villarreal went 2-for-3 for the Framers.

Cary O’Neal Roofing also moved to 2-0 with a 24-3 nod over Babe’s & Lightning Mufflers. Cary O’Neal, Jim Sands and Junior Gutierrez each managed four Roofer hits. Joel Garcia and Kurt Gitmed homered for Babe’s & Lightning.

Fausto Padilla’s RBI-single with two out in the bottom of the seventh sparked ABLC to a 14-13 win over Whiplash in Men’s DDD play. Nate Leyva went 4-for-4 and Sonny Stagi homered for the winners as each of the four DDD teams finished the night at 1-1. Mike Molina hit a three-run homer for Whiplash.

Darren Wall homered and singled to lead Trevino Brothers Construction to a 6-4 win over the Brotha’s. Bryon Kallberg went 3-for-3 for the Brotha’s.

Matias Franco hit three triples and a home run in an 18-5 El 7 Mares Co-Rec D win over the Couch Potato’s. Tom Brozene roped two doubles and Carly Leininger went 2-for-3 for the Potato’s.

Ken Souza and Kenny Souza Jr. each lashed two hits and scored twice as Ken’s Solar defeated the Spirit of Morgan Hill 6-2. Buck Johnson went 2-for-3 for the Spirit.
