I am writing in response to the article written by Katie Niekerk “New Daycare for Fido.” The article states that Four Paws, the new company in San Martin is the “first official dog daycare” in South County. Unfortunately, The Dispatch neglected to do their homework.
My name is Cider, and I am a 6-year-old Golden retriever. I have been going to “Creature Comfort” doggy daycare and overnight camp here in Gilroy for the past four years. Carmella, the owner of Creature Comfort is wonderful! There are NO CAGES or kennels! I can run and play with my other four-legged friends in a huge fenced in playground. There are two swimming pools and when it is really hot, Carmella puts us inside an air conditioned room. Some of the dogs come here all the way from San Jose because it is such a unique place to stay and play.
I wish The Dispatch called Carmella when they began writing the article on doggy daycare. She has been offering quality daycare and overnight stays in Gilroy for the past nine years.
Thank you for putting my letter in your paper. I truly believe Carmella of Creature Comfort deserves recognition for her outstanding service to South County dog owners.
