members of the host committee for the PGA Tour event that will be
held Oct. 13-17 at CordeValle.
SAN MARTIN – Frys.com Open director Ian Knight announced Tuesday the seven members of the host committee for the PGA Tour event that will be held Oct. 13-17 at CordeValle.
The host committee includes several prominent, sports-minded business leaders from around the Bay Area. They are tasked with creating unique ways of spreading the tournament message as well as donating their time during tournament week at various events.
The 2010 Frys.com Open host committee members include Kathy Kolder, founder/executive vice president of Fry’s Electronics; Greg Jamison, president of the San Jose Sharks and Silicon Valley Sports & Entertainment; Hall of Fame defensive back Ronnie Lott, a spokesman for All-Stars for Kids and Champions Charities; Pat Dando, president of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce; George Maxe, executive director of the First Tee of San Jose; Brian Reynard of Cisco Systems and Silicon Valley Executive Network, and Greg Rivers of Steelhead Advisors.
“We are extremely pleased with the members of our host committee,” Knight said. “We have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about the community from these folks and that will go a long way in making the first-ever PGA Tour event in Silicon Valley a success.”
