Gordon S. Hunter passed away Thursday, April 10, 2007 in San Jose, CA he was 87 years of age. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gracia Hunter of Gilroy. He is the father of Tom and his wife Judy Hunter of Mountain View, grandfather of Thomas Carl Hunter, Kristine Ann and husband Jason Gamble all of Mountain View, James Timothy Hunter of Gilroy and Rosella Hunter of Maryland, and their mother, Maureen Hunter, great-grandfather of Amada Anne Gamble, and Carson Thomas Gamble both of Mountain View. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Tom Arnberg of Arvada, CO and Charleen Arnberg of Gilroy. Preceded in death by his son Timothy Hunter. Mr. Hunter retired from PG & E in 1982 after 38 years. He was an officer in the Gilroy Elks for over 20 years, past Master of the Masons Keith Lodge #187, past commander of American Legion Post 669, and longtime member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Gilroy. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 10:00 A.M. at St. Stephens’ Episcopal Church with Military Honors Services to follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park. Donations in his memory to the California-Hawaiian Elks Major Projects, St. Stephens’ Episcopal Church or a favorite charity are preferred and appreciated.
