Guadalupe P. Gomez passed away in Hollister at the age of 92. He was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and came to Hollister in 1970 from Mexicali and worked as a laborer in the agriculture industry. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Gomez of Hollister, his children, Isabel Villarreal of Hollister, Rodolfo Gomez of Hollister, Victor Gomez of San Jose, Irma Ambriz of Mexico, Miguel Gomez of El Centro, Belia Hernandez of Hollister, Gloria Garcia of Hollister, Maria Herrera of Hollister, Abraham Gomez of San Jose, Marciano Gomez of El Centro and Georgina Corral of Hollister. He is also survived by his 43 grandchildren, 43 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, Federico and Pablo.
Friends can pay their respects on Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 1:00 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be on Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M. at St. Bendict’s Church. The Mass will be on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Benedict’s Church. Friends can gather at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. for a procession to the church. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
