Cruz died March 17 at the age of 64.
Gustavo “Nani” Cruz died March 17 at the age of 64. He was born in Los Angeles and came to Hollister with his family 60 years ago. Mr. Cruz was involved with Hope Rehabilitation Services where he spent a great deal of his time for 30 years.

Mr. Cruz is survived by his brothers and their wives, Armando Cruz of Hollister, Joe and Jane Cruz of Hollister, Bob and Marian Cruz of Hollister and Ruben and Terry Cruz of Hollister. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Marquez and his father and mother, Valeriano and Dolores Cruz.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Rev. Bob Hammond of St. Augustine’s Traditional Episcopal Church will officiate. Friends are invited to attend.

Private family inurnment will take place later.

A reception will follow the services at the Bertha Briggs Memorial Building at 1221 Memorial Drive, Hollister.

Donations are preferred to Hope Rehabilitation Services c/o black Cooper Sander Funeral Home, 363 Seventh St., Hollister, CA 95023.
