Harley Edward Rhodebeck died Thursday, May 5, in San Jose. He was 78.

Born on Aug. 7, 1926 in Galion, Ohio, Harley lived in San Jose and Gilroy for most of his life. He was a retired carpenter.

He was the husband of Pansy “Pat” Rhodebeck for 53 years; father of Michael Rhodebeck, Kimberly Parker, Brian Rhodebeck and Lynn Rhodebeck; grandfather of seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He had one more on the way.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service today at 11am. The viewing was Monday from 5pm until 9pm at Oak Hill Funeral Home, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, CA 95125. And the burial followed the service at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
