Harold (Wayne) Good

A long time resident of Morgan Hill, CA, Wayne was born in Konawa, OK and moved with his family to Richmond, CA during World War II. While his parents worked in the shipyards, Wayne finished high school in Richmond, and joined the Army Air Corps, serving in the army of occupation in Japan. After serving his country, he settled in Morgan Hill with his family, operating a chicken ranch on Watsonville Road with his father for several years. He met Barbara, his wife of more than fifty years, on a blind date and retired as an aircraft mechanic for Pan American Airways in 1986.

He was well known for his wry sense of humor which he also passed on to his children. He built his home on days off from work using lumber that he recycled from his family’s chicken ranch. He also enjoyed ocean fishing and together, with his brother-in-law Warren, converted an old sailboat into the motorboat “Shark” that he fished with out of Moss Landing.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Nannie and Harold Good. Survived by his loving wife Barbara, sister Ethel Gwinn (Warren), sister-in-law Charlene Moore, children, Mark Good (Pat), Colleen Lillie (Allen), and Kellie Hudson (Rick), 10 grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews. Private memorial services have been held.
