GILROY – Laura Hennessee poured in 24 points Monday as Gaeta’s Ballers improved to 2-0 in Women’s Basketball League action with a 59-26 decision over Williams Dental Lab at Solorsano Gymnasium.

Naomi Ruiz came up with 14 points, while Kisha Webster and Monica Pantoja settled for six points apiece for the defending league champion. Julia Kuwada netted eight points, Shante Mancera and Emily Szyndrowski seven apiece for Williams Dental Lab.

Western Tree Nursery also reached 2-0 by outlasting the Garlic Girls 34-16.

Marisa Taylan popped in 15 points and Michelle Deliessegues added six for Western Tree. Nancy Rhoades managed six points for the Garlic Girls.

Team Techron has a share of first place in the Men’s League at 2-0 after a 48-36 victory over GC Farms Monday.

Frank Tomasetti led the Techron charge with 15 points. Kevin Siha and Kendrick Arcueta each produced nine Techron points. Daniel Crowe paced GC Farms (1-2) with 10 points. Cliff Dennett followed with eight points.

Valerie Smith Intero rallied to defeat the Gilroy Bulls 51-40 and move to 2-0.

Kris Dean hit two three-point field goals on the way to eight points in the first half as the Bulls built a 23-19 lead. Valerie Smith Intero went on a 15-4 run early in the second half to take a 37-27 advantage.

Jake Smith led the Realtors with 16 points. Kevin Steele drained three 3-pointers in a 12-point showing for the winners. Steve Quistian paced the Bulls with 12 points.

Crunch Time is 2-1 after a 47-29 verdict over Hard Ninety.

Anthony Bravo used four 3-pointers to finish with 15 points for the Crunch. Jason Wolowitz added three 3-pointers and 14 points. Aaron Foster led Hard Ninety with eight points.

The Warriors trimmed South Valley Disposal 45-40 to leave both clubs at 2-1.

Mike Vanni, Arnold Tellez and Adolfo Tellez each scored eight points for the Warriors. Rick Vasquez struck for 14 points, Scott Kjellesvig nine for South Valley Disposal. South Valley held a 24-19 lead at halftime.
