Gilroy – The Santa Clara County Open Space Authority’s Discovering Nature Summer Camp for Grandparents and Grandchildren runs Aug. 6 through 10. The agency invites grandparents to spend time with their grandchildren and create lasting memories. The camp runs from 9am to noon at Rancho Canada del Oro Open Space Preserve. Each day will feature a short hike, arts and crafts, and a nature program.

In addition, every Saturday in August will feature a senior stroll in the park at Rancho Canada del Oro from 8 to 11am. Those who arrive at 8am will get an interpreter-led nature program in the oak meadow. However, seniors are welcome to arrive at any time between 8 and 11am with the understanding that there will be staff members present who would love to walk or chat with them, or just be there for company and safety while they stroll.

All of these programs are free.
