The Christopher High girls varsity team is the first to hit the floor, taking on Leigh High School at the Del Mar Tournament on Monday.

The Cougars are currently 2-3 so far this season, both wins coming against Stevenson.

Game time Monday is slated for 10:30 a.m. at Del Mar High School in Campbell.

Both Gilroy High hoops squads are in action next week.

After 12 days off, the Lady Mustangs return to the court at the Seaside Sweet 16, beginning Monday. GHS (5-1), victorious in its previous two games – 55-49 over Santa Teresa and 55-36 against Soquel – open tourney action against the 5-4 Madera Coyotes, 12:30 p.m. at Seaside.

The boys head to Morgan Hill and Sobrato High School for the annual Chase Bulldog Tournament.

The Mustangs (6-2), who wrapped up third place last week at the Bob Hagen Memorial, face Union Mine-El Dorado at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Diamondbacks are 2-4 this season. GHS plays at 3 p.m. on Wednesday against Mesa Verde and engage with Santa Teresa at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The Anchorpoint Christian Warriors will participate in the Martha Price Christmas Tournament hosted by Monte Vista Christian.
