DEAR EDITOR:
So sayeth the esteemed Madam Cynthia Walker in her greatest opinion letter yet. Her broadsides, unlike Mr. Wayne Scott’s broadsides, are polite and endearing. Her derogatory terms are nowhere near as insulting as “ilk.” It must have been merely a series of horrible missteps when she described the students of Mr. Wayne Scott as hapless, or how she effectively refers to Scott as a crazed animal.
I am sure that she had no intention of being insulting when she described the greatest obstacle for improvement at GHS as Mr. Wayne Scott himself, especially when the pass rate for his students at the AP exams increased.
I’m sure she is well aware of the fallout caused by the poorly constructed “Integrated” series of mathematics textbooks.
Of course, she is without fault in the matter. I’m sure that she called the high school to find out that Mr. Wayne Scott teaches advanced placement mathematics all but exclusively.
With a brilliant flourish, she really gives that horrible Mr. Scott his comeuppance. I do not doubt that she made the last few paragraphs of her last letter with the intent of egging that “junkyard dog” on.
What am I saying, though? She would never write something inflammatory, unlike that monster named Mr. Wayne Scott.
